Late January, and we are still concerned about reaching our goal weight in time for spring weddings and graduations. If you are not on a structured weight loss program there are a few morning tips that can keep us moving in the right direction.

Drinking plenty of water keeps us hydrated and helps flush out toxins. Many wonder if they are getting enough water. The rule of thumb is body weight divided by two. This is the number of ounces of water a person should drink in a day to stay fully hydrated. Green tea is rich in antioxidants and can increase metabolism. Avoid soda and other processed drinks that are loaded with sugar. Instead, taking lemon water which helps keep sugar out of the bloodstream reducing the risk of type ll diabetes.

We feel better in the morning if we start with a healthy breakfast. Statistics tell us that people who eat breakfast tend to weigh less than those not eating breakfast. A healthy balance of food in the morning will enable us to make the most of our day. Thoughtful eating behavior and making the right choices can be the best weight loss program going.
