Recipe of the Week #24: Low-Carb Shepherd’s Pie
This pie is packed full of veggies and flavor, but not carbs!
Just in time for Pi Day, this low-carb shepherd’s pie is the perfect end-of-winter comfort food, with just a little bit of parmesan cheese, savory meat and flavorful vegetables. This recipe is sure to be a hit with the whole family!
Another great thing about this recipe is that it falls into multiple categories for our Low Carb, High Protein plans! With no modifications, this recipe is a Stage 2 HPLC meal. However, if you omit the tomato paste, this recipe falls into the Stage 3 very low carbohydrate plan and the Stage 1 HPLC plan, and if you omit both the tomato paste and the parmesan cheese, this recipe works for the Optifast 800 partial meal replacement plan and the Stage 2 very low carbohydrate plan!
